Integral Horizontal Tang Honyaki (26c3)

This piece is a forged integral full horizontal tang honyaki.

The blade has been differentially hardened creating a hamon and then etched/polished to reveal the pattern. Hamons are sought after among collectors and polishers.

This has been left with some brute de forge texture but has a nice distal taper allowing for a well balanced blade.

The steel is 26c3 "spicy white" and the handle is a beautiful piece of stabilized Tasmanian Blackwood with brass pins.
